HYLANE WELSH CORGIS is a small, hobby kennel located in Oakdale, in northern California. I have been involved with Pembroke Welsh Corgis since 1995 and Cardigan Welsh Corgis since 2005. I am a member of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America, The Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America, the North West Cardigan Fanciers and the Golden Gate Pembroke Welsh Corgi Fanciers .
I train and compete in conformation, obedience, rally, herding and agility and thoroughly enjoy my dogs as family members. I only breed when I am ready to add a new member to the family, which is generally only 1 litter every 2 years or so. My puppies are born and raised in the house and have a very good start through proper socialization and basic crate and leash training before they go to their new homes. I have all of the recommended health screenings done on my dogs before breeding and try very hard to avoid any potential health problems in my puppies.
After living 16 years in the Sierras, just south of Yosemite National Park, in a small town called North Fork, south of Bass Lake, I relocated to Oakdale, CA in September 2011 and I am really enjoying it. I live on 2.48 acres, that includes a large, irrigated pasture and a complete herding training facility and numerous training and play areas. The property is completely fenced and cross fenced, which allows for lots of running room. I have a small flock of sheep and goats to train with. I have hosted numerous very successful herding clinics and other events. In addition to tons of room to run and play, I have a pool to swim the dogs in, for fun and good exercise. I am very blessed to live where I do, with the dogs I love. Through my dogs, I have made the best friends of my life, who share my love and passion.
